"Keep the Pace" Album Review

Do you like underground Hip-Hop music?  If you do, then Trever Crow’s new album entitled “Keep the Pace” is a must listen!  For all of you that do not already know, Trever Crow is a Nevada based Hip-Hop Emcee, Poet, and Writer as well as a self proclaimed Gamer and Book Thief with an individuality complex. “Keep the Pace” is Trever Crow’s sixth solo album and is full of beats that are called “hard knocks” not slappers, insane lyrical genius, sick instrumentals, and features artists such as Sleep, Dove, Metaphysical, The smOKe, and Mac Lethal just to name a few.

In my personal opinion, I think “Keep the Pace” is a great album that you can listen to all the way through and it will give you multiple ear-gasms upon listening to it.  My personal favorite tracks on “Keep the Pace” are “Breathe aka Breath,” “Video Game Pool Hustler,” “L.A. to Reno,” “Let Me Just Talk To You,” and “Wish.”  I also think that Trever Crow’s music and music like his is what the Hip-Hop game is missing nowadays because there are too many “artists” out there not speaking their minds, not being original, not taking chances, and not pushing boundaries with their music.  There are also too many “artists” that think you have to be on the radio as well as be like all the “musicians” and “artists” you see on MTV or BET to be a real or a good artist, which is not only ruining Hip-Hop, but ruining all genres of music on a whole.  But if you want to hear real music and not that bullshit that major labels are brainwashing people into listening to, then buy a copy of “Keep the Pace” by Trever Crow and bang out to that shit!  You will not be disappointed!

SEREN

BIOWith a heavy sound rooted in death metal, Seren unleashes a crushing sonic onslaught featuring complex polyrhythms, demon-esque vocals, pounding drums, and aggressive, groovy riffs. The band names influences such as Meshuggah, Gojira, Dysrhythmia, Nevermore, Led Zeppelin, Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, and Enslaved.
Born in different parts of the country, brewed in the depths of the Back Bay of Boston, Massachusetts, Seren was first formed in December 2011 as a collaboration project between drummer Mike Scott and guitarist Steve LogĂ©. In April 2012, the current Seren lineup was completed with the addition of Phil Gabrielson (bass) and Matt Martinez (guitar) and debuted with a live studio performance.
Seren’s first self-titled E.P. was electronically released on June 1, 2012 and has quickly spread amongst the ears of the New England extreme metal scene. Currently, the band is in active pursuit of live shows to build a strong and growing, local fan base. Seren plans to record a full-length album in August of 2012 and kick off a subsequent east-coast debut tour.
